Christmas Day!

We opened gifts.I was way excited for a new digital.Jacob and I also bought matching race cars and raced them in the driveway.We had a ton of fun! The brothers wanted to take Jacob shooting Christmas.They kept trying coats on him and lol! Luke said here my jacket is kinda big,Jake put it on and sang "fat guy in a little coat".Jake is a big guy.He could honestly play college or pro football.We finally found a warm coat to fit him and off they went.Later after they returned,we headed to my sister Loretta's house to visit more fam. It was so nice to be home.

Merry Christmas!

Jacob and I had been trying to get tickets out to Ohio for Christmas,but weren't sure our schedules and everything would work out.We found a great deal on tickets and flew into Akron/Canton at 7:11 pm.We got our rental car and made it to the house by 8pm.Everyone was gathered in the living room opening gifts and we walk in and I say Merry Christmas Mom! Everyone was super quiet and then cheered we made it.(Brooke, my hyper niece(she gets that from me)-jumped off of the couch and onto me screaming) I was so relieved to be home for the holidays and to see mom & dad.Dad is looking better and getting around pretty good.This Christmas was the best because I got to spend it with my fam and Jacob.The best things in life truly are the simple things.

Christmas in Ohio 09

Welcome to Utah in December!

Today Jacob and I went over to Darla's to have lunch and visit with Val,Jeff,and kidders. Valerie has been a good friend since 2003 when I was out in Ohio and first joined the LDS church.Jeff was doing his fellowship for orthopedic surgery and I spent much time at the Salin's. I moved to Utah in '04' and Jeff & Val moved to Kansas in '07'. I was way excited to visit with them,Darla,and Amanda today. I had alot of fun with the kids and promised I would visit. I sure hope things are ideal for Jeff to do surgeries here so I can see them more often. These people are like family to me cause they care about me and have taken me in like family. Jeff and Val had to head to the airport and road conditions were bad. Jacob's Evo is all wheel drive and we got stuck in the drive way. Once we got out,we made sure Darla got out ok and Jacob drifted down the road playing in the snow like a little boy with a fun toy.

Saracai's Surgery

This past Wednesday Jacob's sister (practically my lil sister) Sara went in for surgery on her foot.The surgeon removed a bone chip in her right foot and tightened the ligament I believe. Surgery went well and we are all hoping she will be back on her feet and well by the time Lacross starts this spring.Her team needs her as captain and her talent.I really wan to see her play with it being her senior year and all as well. Anyways, as we were waiting (which is not new to me considering I lived in waiting rooms most of last year:) I was admiring this amazing salt water fish tank with nemo and dori like fish in it.I wonder if docs put tanks in their offices to calm folks? I really liked it.Post surgery we went back and explained to Sara the tight thing on her arm was a BP cuff and weened her off O2 pretty fast.She asked for a neopolitan shake from In & Out and I ran to grab her one. I stayed with her on friday to help with meds and show her how to transfer for baths as well as wrapping her leg.We had fun.We watched a bunch of movies and napped.Resting is so great!

Oh smack!

Well I went all the way to In & Out,drove like a maniac to keep this shake from falling over,and made it to the house to give to Sara after her surgery.Well, the clutz I can be sometimes came out and well you guessed it...I tripped and 3/4 of the shake became apart of mother earth. I was embarassed at the small amount I had to give,but at least the whole shake didn't hit the ground. I laughed a bunch-the luck!
